Extended Shepherding is a mode, tailored to the feedback that you have decided to turn on, that tries to guide your dog back home if it leaves the boundary. Should your dog ever, for whatever reason, go outside, and stay outside your boundary, after the last iteration of feedback has finished (depending on your Feedback Mode setting), if Extended Shepherding is enabled in your collar's Pet Panel in settings, SkyShepherd will give your dog a schedule of feedback that dynamically responds to whether it's:
- making progress back toward the Safe Zone of the boundary
- stalled out just sitting or moving parallel (but not toward) the Safe Zone of the boundary
- moving away from the boundary Safe Zone
You can enable or disable Extended Shepherding from your collar's listing in the Pet Panel within the app. (see below).
