If try to activate a boundary but it seems like it won't activate there are usually four things to check:
1. Do you have good enough GPS signal?
If you recently came from indoors, your collar may need a moment to get a good enough signal to activate a boundary. If you are already indoors, you may not have good enough GPS signal to activate a boundary, especially right after a firmware update, or after taking your collar out of travel mode.
2. Is the collar outside the boundary?
Whether in reality or due to poor GPS signal, if the collar does not determine itself to be within the boundary you want to activate, then it won't activate the boundary. This is to make sure your dog doesn't get the wrong feedback when you initially start the boundary
3. Is the collar charging?
You won't be able to activate a boundary while your collar is charging. It's best not to try to activate a boundary while the collar is on the charger, or while indoors, in general.
4. Is your collar in Travel Mode?
When your collar is in Travel Mode, your GPS is turned off, to save battery. To activate a boundary, you'll need to turn Travel Mode off. You may have to wait a minute or two until your GPS signal recovers and your collar finds its location.
