How to remove a collar (watch video):
Written Instructions
If you need to remove a GPS Collar unit from your SkyShepherd account, you can use the SkyShepherd app. You might need to do this if you're giving the collar to somebody else or if you're returning it. To remove a collar from your SkyShepherd account:
- Stand next to the collar you're trying to remove with your SkyShepherd app open
- Open the pet panel, just above the bottom app navigation
- Tap "Connect" for the collar that you want to remove. (If you don't see "Connect", then check to make sure that no other phone in the area is connected to that collar (spouse, child, co-worker), that your phone's Bluetooth is on, that the collar is either charged or is plugged in, and that you are standing next to the collar)
- Scroll all the way to the bottom of the collar's menu. There you'll see "Remove SkyShepherd"
- Tap on "Remove SkyShepherd"
- When you tap on that, you get a confirmation warning. Go ahead and read it and then, assuming you still want to remove the collar...
- ...Tap "Remove" to confirm you want to remove that SkyShepherd collar unit
- You should hear the collar make a reset sound
- The collar should no longer show up in your pet panel. Instead, the name of the pet should show, and there should be the text, "Add a new SkyShepherd for [pet name]"
- You can further confirm the collar's been removed from your account by partially going through the process of adding a collar, just until the point where the collar shows it's ID characters in the app and then cancelling out of the process. Seeing the collar show its characters during the add-collar sequence tells you it's been released from your account, since, if it wasn't, you wouldn't be able to add it using the add-collar process.
