NOTE: This article shows both the new and old SkyShepherd apps. If you have the new app, watch the first video. Essentially, the "Power" toggle talked about in the old app is now called, "Travel Mode." You can put your collar into travel mode to put the GPS receiver and IoT radio inside the collar into a low power state. This saves battery if you are taking the collar on a trip somewhere and want to have the most battery possible.
For the Old SkyShepherd App:
You may want to take SkyShepherd from one place to another. To save battery while travelling, you can put your SkyShepherd in a low-power state.
NOTE: Do not power toggle your device off while you have an active boundary. Doing so may cause the boundary to corrupt. In which case, you would have to delete it and create it again.
To put your device to sleep, pull up the pet panel and tap the direct control button. Next, slide the "Power" toggle to the left. You'll hear your device make a powering-down sound.
When you get where you're going, you can slide the "Power" toggle to the right. The collar will make a powering-up sound, and when the GPS and gateway signals come back, your device is back in normal mode. A word of note, it may take a minute for GPS signal to fully recover from sleep mode. You might have to wait then until you can activate a boundary. Additionally, if you are in a building you may not see GPS signal, even though it has turned back on.
