Please read through this article and watch the videos here before you start using your collar. This article and the videos in it have lots of crucial information. After finishing this article, take a look at the Quick-Start Guide you received with your collar. We are in the process of updating the SkyShepherd mobile app and the SkyShepherd collar. Consequently, some app screens and hardware components may be different than what is shown in the videos. The same functionality talked about in the videos is available in the new apps, though your app screens may appear different.
Please note: You will need to follow the training program outlined in the Quick-Start and Training Guides with your dog(s) before you can use SkyShepherd for containment. Your dog will not be contained by the collar until after you've completed SkyShepherd training with it.
PLEASE NOTE:
We are soon releasing a new version of the SkyShepherd collar. This article is in the process of being updated. The general concepts in this article largely still apply, but some components, such as the gateway, are slightly different, and the new SkyShepherd app (which isn't generally available yet), has a slightly different design. The placement of some features, such as Training Mode, have moved locations. Training Mode is selectable per collar in the new app, and is accessed via the collar's menu in the Pet Panel, not the app settings menu as it was before. Also, the Pet Panel and the way you interact with the collar is slightly different. In the new app, all the collar settings are on one continuous page, whereas in the old app, there were three buttons that segmented the settings into different categories. Other than that, the app is very similar in function.

- A nylon collar strap
- A mobile gateway with attachable antenna
- 2 Wall adapters for charging
- 2 USB A to USB C charging cords
- The Quick-Start Guide
- A black nylon carry case to contain everything during travel

Training Mode Function and Gateway Setup
Training Mode is a feature in the app. It makes the app mimic some of the feedback that your collar is providing in real-time. It can help you more easily train your dog by providing timely guidance during the training process. You'll also want to set up your SkyShepherd gateway so that when you are not connected to your SkyShepherd collar via Bluetooth, you can get alerts and location updates about your collar. The collar can reach your gateway with alerts and location updates at distances up to about a half mile, depending on terrain.

Deactivating, Editing Boundaries
When you want to take your dog inside or bring it for a walk while it's wearing the collar, or if you want to edit or delete your boundary, you'll want to deactivate any boundary you have activated on the collar. Watch this video to learn about that, and to learn how to delete and edit your boundaries.
